[4] The harbour warehouse
Description
The harbour warehouse was built in 1861 for the local agricultural trade directly at the old harbour of the town on the banks of the Stepenitz. The harbour warehouse was located in the immediate vicinity of the state border. From 1978 until its dismantling in 1990, there was a border wall directly on the banks of the Stepenitz, which was intended to prevent visual contact with Travemünde.
