In addition to his most popular novel, ‘Der Lichtenstein’, which served as the model for the well-known Lichtenstein Castle, Hauff was primarily famous as a storyteller. During his short life, he wrote well-known fairy tales such as ‘Zwerg Nase’ (Dwarf Nose), ‘Kalif der Storch’ (The Caliph Stork), ‘Der kleine Muck’ (Little Muck) and ‘Das kalte Herz’ (The Cold Heart).
