Description

The Stapferhaus addresses relevant contemporary questions with its major thematic exhibitions: from time and money to homeland and fake. In this place of dialogue, inspiration and playful discovery everyone is welcome: young and old, experts and laypeople, supporters and opponents. All who want to understand our time and themselves.

From 8 November 2026 to 31 October 2027 the Stapferhaus presents «Security. A Risk?»: We control, regulate and monitor. We arm ourselves, shore ourselves up, are well insured, yet highly unsettled. Still, risk draws us like a magnet. We seek the kick, the thrill, the adventure.

How safe do we need to feel in order to take a risk? When does security become a danger? And how can we remain trusting in a world where nothing seems secure any more?

The Stapferhaus invites you to the Test Centre for Security and Risk (DE/EN/FR) and to a varied programme.
