The Deuerlinger War Memorial is designed as a limestone column with the figure of Saint George on an inscription base. It was ceremoniously unveiled on May 15, 1922, following official approval in 1921 and ecclesiastical consecration permission. Immediately after the Second World War, additional panels with the names of the fallen were added. The memorial was designed by Munich sculptor and stone master Georg Rödl and sculptor Falkinger. Georg Rödl was from Deuerling and was a regionally active master stonemason and sculptor who contributed to numerous monuments and altars and also worked on representative fountain installations. His connection to his hometown gives the monument an additional local dimension.
