Old school The schoolbuilding on Jahnstrasse was built in 1910/1911 in the typical Art Nouveau style. The royal government in Potsdam demanded that a new school be built. District architect Titz from Perleberg took over the planning. Funding came from the Royal Government and the School Association. Of the estimated costs of 120,000 marks, the gentlemen of Saldern covered 30,000 marks. Ultimately, 7 classrooms, a gymnasium and a school servant's apartment were to be built. In the current school year 1910/1911 there were 338 children at the school, divided into 7 classes. The foundation stone was laid on June 27, 1910 and the school was finally inaugurated on December 1, 1911. The Bad Wilsnack elementary school was located in the building until the 2004/2005 school year. Today the sales and factory outlet of Cleo Schreibgeräte GmbH are located here. There was a post mill on Mühlenstrasse in the 1920s. The oak beam in front of the school building is the so-called royal beam of the windmill, which stood behind the current Cleo factory building in the direction of Groß Lüben.
