Description

Doll and Toy Museum

The Bidermann family´s private collection, which includes a tin figure cabinet and rotating special exhibitions.
For many years now, the Bidermann family, from the Aach district, has made it their task to collect historical toys.

After acquiring the stately notary´s house, with its wonderful half-timbered facade, the former Hegel department store, and its meticulous renovation, the Bidermann family moved their Doll and Toy Museum from Aach to the historic market square.

Marie-Luise Bidermann, the owner of the museum, with much love and support from her husband, Gottlob Herbert Bidemann, has set up a toy museum that is well worth a visit. The museum transports you back to your grandparents´ and great-grandparents´ childhood and vividly displays their toys and what made children´s hearts beat faster back then.

In the Doll and Toy Museum, you can see dolls, doll´s houses, play shops and kitchens, railway stations, as well as steam engines along with drive models, tin and lead figures, tin toys, and model trains from the 19th and first-half of the 20th century, carefully arranged in a cozy atmosphere.
