The Landscape Park Duisburg-Nord is a former ironworks that was converted to purely recreational use in the 1990s. Today, the park is an urban oasis in the north of Duisburg: Europe's largest artificial diving centre was created in an old gasometer, alpine climbing gardens were created in ore storage bunkers, a casting hall was turned into a high ropes course and an extinct blast furnace was converted into a viewing tower. In the evening, a light installation bathes the unique monument in light and colour.
