Historic Silver, Copper, and Baryte Mine in the Northern Black Forest
Tours are available from the beginning of May until October (also bookable outside of opening hours!)
The "Himmlisch Heer" mine is a historic silver, copper, and baryte mine in the northern Black Forest. The beginning of mining in Hallwangen dates back to the 13th century. Today, the tunnel is open to visitors. Since 1996, the mine is being maintained and made accessible by the members of the "Förderkreis Historischer Bergbau Hallwangen e.V." in voluntary work with the support of sponsors.
Opening Hours
The mine is open every 1st + 3rd Sunday of the month from 2-5 pm. A guided tour is offered at 4 pm on Tuesdays. Reservations are not required.
Guided tours also outside of opening hours from the beginning of May until October.
