In a time without smartphones, television, or newspapers, people passed the time by telling old stories about witches, dwarfs, little glass men, Bollimänkl’n, and many other mythical creatures. These tales were often told to teach children a healthy sense of fear, but also to convey important messages through simple, child-friendly imagery.
