Description

The DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum is dedicated to the medium of film, presenting its history, present, aesthetics, and impact in a variety of ways. With its collections, archives, and scientific projects, the DFF offers a place for in-depth engagement with the moving image.

On approximately 800 square meters, the permanent exhibition "Cinematic Seeing and Storytelling" presents exciting exhibits, operable models of historical apparatuses, and large film projections, making the fascination of the film medium tangible.

Rotating special exhibitions complement the offerings. The in-house cinema presents the full spectrum of artistically significant film productions alongside film classics.
