Stadtkirche St. Marien

Beschreibung

The St. Marien Church was consecrated in 1493 after 50 years of construction. After a fire in the church in 1588, the altar area with the beautiful star vault was preserved in its original form. A major church renovation was carried out in 1830. Worth seeing in the St. Marien Church: a preserved cross, 3 wooden carved altar figures, which originate from the Martinikirche destroyed in 1429/30 during the Hussite war, altar area with star vault in original form, in the tower preserved tombs from the 16th/18th century and panels about the construction and repairs of the church.
