Liel Castle, built around 1750 in the Baroque style and now privately owned, used to include a larger area consisting of:
- a park, the "Kavaliersbau", which now houses the administration of the "Lieler Schlossbrunnen"
- an outbuilding
- a small Baroque theater and the building of the former town hall.
The original seat of the noble family of the Lords of Baden zu Liel, the builders of the castle, was a ruined moated castle below the church.
