Strasburg
(Uckermark) is a town in the southern part of the district of
Vorpommern-Greifswald in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The town of Strasburg (Um.) is located about 130
km north-east of Berlin, in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald and is an
an old farming town.
It has had a town charter since 1250 and will be celebrating its 775th anniversary in 2025.
Today it covers an area of 86.8 km² with a total population of around 4,460.
The main economic sectors are
agriculture, the construction industry, food processing and a wide range of
a wide variety of service businesses.
