Location
Wannweil is located in the district of Reutlingen and is conveniently situated between the cities of Reutlingen and Tübingen. There are also good connections to the Stuttgart metropolitan region via the main roads 27 and 297. Wannweil also has its own railway station on the Tübingen-Stuttgart line.

Landscape
The municipality of Wannweil is nestled between small plateaus and steep slopes in the Lower Echaz Valley. The landscape is mainly characterised by orchards, as well as fields and forests. The Echaz river flows through the idyllic village and joins the Neckar shortly afterwards. The Härten nature reserve
and the Baden-Württemberg orchard paradise are partly located in Wannweiler.
Places of interest
The Evangelical Church of St John characterises the townscape of the municipality. It is one of the oldest churches in Württemberg. It was built in the 10th century. Of the 15 feudal estates of the Reutlingen
hospital, which were located in the vicinity of the church, can still be found in part.
Economy
A healthy middle class characterises Wannweil as a business location. Smaller, innovative craft and commercial enterprises dominate the scene. These are joined by a large number of healthcare providers
and cultural organisations.
