Description
Winterplatz is dominated by the former brewery, a half-timbered building from the 18th century, which was converted into a residential building in 1921. The first floor now houses the town library and the wedding room. The lion on the fountain is a replica of the old market fountain lion holding the Grünberg heraldic rider. A small stone house dating from 1582 stands directly on the slope. This is where the pressure water pipe ends, which has been used since 1492 to pump water up from the spring 60 meters below using various systems.
