Friedrich Gottlieb Welcker´s (1784 - 1868) birthplace is located on the right-hand side of the "Brückelchen" near the town church. Welcker was one of the leading classical archaeologists of his time, a professor in Bonn and a friend of Humboldt. From 1562 to 1839, the house served as a second vicarage.POIs
