Description
The highest half-timbered construction in Upper Hesse was built at the beginning of the 16th century as a storage room for the monastery and in 1542, it was possibly made available to the University of Marburg, as well as the University of Giessen in 1613 during times of the plague as an accommodation. It is confirmed that the building was used at times as an administrative building for the university bailiff. The building is also referred to by its present owners as "Stammler's House".
