The so-called round wings, which line the castle complex in a semi-circular fashion, were already built in 1737/38 under the direction of J. C. Knöffel. At this time, the adjoining corner buildings were also changed. These were reserved during hunts and courtly festivities for the Oberjägermeister (today building 12) and the commander of the parforce hunt. Hubertusburg Castle was fully adapted to the needs of the Saxon court hunt. August the Strong showed great interest in the surrounding forests, which were primarily intended to serve as a "backdrop" for hunting. In 1696, August the Strong commissioned his viceroy Prince Egon von Fürstenberg to establish the Wermsdorf Forest for the parforce hunt (chase hunt), adopted from France. Numerous alleys were cut into the forested surroundings. Also in this building, the administrator of the hunting residence Castle Hubertusburg - Georg Samuel Götze - on January 28, 1761, obtained from the Prussian Free Commander Quintus Icilius the preservation of the castle chapel from plundering and destruction.
