Former so-called "Soldiers´ Corner": On the area of the former "Old Cemetery" of the city municipality of Wurzen (established from 1548, expanded in 1598, 1607, last time in 1866, last earth burial in 1940, converted into a park in 1975/76) which has now been enclosed by a hedge since 2015, a total of 254 soldiers from various European countries who died in Wurzen´s military hospitals during the Napoleonic Wars between 1806 and 1815 were buried. Until the conversion of the cemetery into a municipal park, the "Soldiers´ Corner" was surrounded by a clay wall.
