Description
On the way to the large castle courtyard, you pass the horse pond (on the left). Here, horse and rider could clean and refresh themselves after a strenuous hunt, and the water-spewing faun´s head watched the colorful bustle. The basin and the entire castle area including the water features in the baroque garden were fed via a wooden pipe line, which was still partially in operation until 1973. On the so-called "post house meadow" in Mahlis, a district of Wermsdorf, there are also still the wells to it.
