The church, which was built around 1490, was completely renovated between 2012 and 2014.Under the construction management of the local architect Roland Rieger and in close coordination with the experts of the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments, the individual work steps were coordinated. Construction began in spring 2012. In late autumn of the same year, the first major construction phase was completed: the stabilisation and renovation of the roof truss as well as the subsequent re-roofing of the entire church roof and the repainting of the exterior façade.In the course of this work, the new colour scheme of the room shell was also determined. The nave arches and the chancel arch were given a subtle light green paint, while all other wall surfaces are kept in neutral white. Up to a height of 1.50 meters, the plaster in the nave had been chopped off and renewed.
