Beschreibung
The Rosenberg vineyard site is mentioned in a register of the Echternach Abbey as early as 1658. It is assumed that the name comes from the fact that roses used to grow on the rocky ground here. The plots on the Rosenberg are among the best vineyards in Kinheim. They were classified in the highest category in the wine-growing map for the administrative district of Trier, which was drawn up in 1868 by the tax councillor Clotten, as were the Berncasteler Doctor, Wehlener Sonnenuhr and Erdener Treppchen vineyards.
