The historical churchyard is adorned with a stone crucifix, lending the place an impressive atmosphere. The Catholic parish church of St. Michael originated as a Romanesque pillar basilica, which has taken its present form through several additions and renovations from the 13th to the 15th century. The Romanesque sacristy and the church tower, built in 1496 and towering proudly at 61 meters high, bear witness to its long history. In the choir, one can find late Gothic elements, as well as impressive epitaphs of the Counts of Rieneck from the 15th and 16th centuries. The early Baroque choir stalls from 1554, crafted by Valentin Maher from Lohr, and the neo-Gothic altars from 1890 to 1905, created by Franz Wilhelm Driesler, also from Lohr, are further notable features of this impressive church. The baptismal font in the nave dates back to 1488.
