The parts of the old city wall date back to the 13th/14th century. Once, Lohr was surrounded by a double, enclosed wall with battlements and three gate systems: - Upper Gate - Lower Gate (at the city tower "Bayersturm") - Lohr Gate (facing the Lohr River).
