[104] New Town Hall

Description

In 1986, the new town hall, the current administrative seat of the city of Lohr am Main, was built on the foundations of the former tithe barn. Previously, the premises housed the horse stable for distinguished guests (the royal stables) and from 1863 to 1949 a prison. Remnants of the old tithe barn are still preserved in the cellar vaults of the right part of the building.
