Description

Bronze sculpture by Lohr artist Roland Schaller from the year 2020. The two figures "Mopper" and "Schnüdel" have their origins in local history. In Lohr, the popular homemade, generously filled blood sausage has always been referred to as "Mopper," and the "Schnüdel" are the sausage ends tied with strings. Chronologically, it can be shown that for about a hundred years, citizens born in Lohr have been given the nickname "Mopper" and newcomers have been referred to as "Schnüdel," and this tradition has more or less continued as mutual teasing to this day.
