[129] Fishermen´s Fountain

Description

For the city anniversary in 1983, the artist Helmut Weber created an impressive sandstone fountain on behalf of the Bayersturm Association, which was placed at the passage from Fischergasse to Muschelgasse and Steinmühle. A mighty, bearded fisherman is pulling his fishing net filled with Main river fishes from the water, thus reminding of earlier times and the once significant fishing guild.
