[132] Snow White by Peter Wittstadt (Bronze sculpture)

Description

With regard to the highway sign and marketing activities surrounding the theme "Snow White, a native of Lohr?" the city council repeatedly expressed the desire to make Snow White more visible in Lohr.
Therefore, in 2013, the Cultural Office of the city of Lohr a.Main initiated a two-stage, open art competition for the first time. The aim was to find an artistic design on the theme: "Snow White enchants Lohr". The artwork was intended to be displayed in a prominent area of downtown Lohr, outdoors. The search was for a solution that depicted Snow White figuratively, not necessarily in a naturalistic manner.
The artist Peter Wittstadt won with his artwork "Snow White," which was installed on October 26, 2016, in front of the new city hall in Lohr a.Main on Jahnstrasse. The sculpture is made of bronze and is approximately 3 meters tall.
