[401] Wombach - District

Description

Wombach was first mentioned in writing in 1325. An architectural highlight is the round church built by the Würzburg Cathedral master builder Hans Schädel between 1962 and 1965.
Wombach has its own charming little Christmas market, and regularly hosts performances by nationally renowned artists and musicians in the community center. The Wombach Carnival Parade is the largest in the Lohr area. Additionally, Wombach is a gathering point for some of the world's best mountain bikers during the Keiler Bike Marathon. There are also beautiful hiking trails around the district.
