The house dates back to 1745, the attached stable behind the passage was built in 1815. Until 184X, the local school was located here, which was also attended by the children from Oberwörresbach. Later, the house came into private ownership. From 1870 to 1908 the Herrstein painter Gerhard Büscher lived here. He came from Oldenburg He came here because he wanted to visit a friend from the military and stayed for love. After 1871, the family moved temporarily to Metz, where Büscher carried out the painting work in the newly built barracks. Due to lead poisoning, he had to give up his business and returned to Herrstein.
