Hospital St. Georg

Beschreibung

Since the 14th century, the former hospital with its small chapel has been part of the cityscape of Gardelegen. However, it used to be located outside the city walls: here, those who were suffering from the frequently occurring epidemics or were dying were isolated. The chapel was referred to as "Maria-Magdalena Chapel" in the first documents from the year 1362.
