This building, which was used as a Latin school, was build in 1546. Since then, the house has always served education - as a school, community vocational school, music school, or adult education center. Above the entrance, a commemorative plaque recalls that the lyricist Christoph August Tiedge (1752-1841) was born in this house. He received praise from Goethe for his poem "Urania", and Beethoven and Schumann set it to music.
