Care was taken to meticulously preserve the medieval structure during the major restoration of the church of Kassieck in the late 19th century, but that was all. Everything else was changed as much as possible. Result 1 - Apart from the old fieldstone masonry, the original form, such as of the windows and portals that were provided with brick borders and enlarged, is hardly noticeable. The plastered tower crowned with a baroque roof contributes to the overall impression. Result 2 - In the end, everything fits together surprisingly well and harmoniously. However, anyone looking for an architectural element from the beginnings of the Kassieck field stone church can only be referred to the circular window above the tower portal. It has survived the centuries. Unchanged. Of historical significance is the organ, crafted in the renowned organ builder's workshop of Rohlfing in Osnabrück, which was installed around 1900.
