Description

Where once a knight's estate was located in the predecessor building of the 15th and 16th centuries, this building was, with interruptions, the seat of the district administrators of the former Gardelegen district administration from 1841 to 1994. By the way, from 1816 to 1932, Gardelegen was the county town of the largest district in all of Germany.
